Bio

Tim Murphy is a Board of Directors Member at Column Health, Shore Capital’s second medication-assisted treatment platform investment. Tim currently serves as CEO of the Stepping Stones Group, a previous Shore Capital portfolio company that provides school and home-based ABA services. Stepping Stones is currently owned by Five Arrows Capital Partners and a Partner from Shore Capital, Ryan Kelley, currently serves as a board member. Tim previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Beacon Health Options and its predecessor companies from 2007 through 2017. Tim was instrumental in growing the company from $35 million to $2 billion in revenue in 2017, making Beacon the largest independent manager of behavioral health benefits in the United States. Before joining Beacon, Tim served as the Secretary of Health and Human Services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under Governor Mitt Romney. Preceding his service in the Romney Administration, Tim was a vice president in the investment banking division of JP Morgan. Tim serves as Senior Advisor to Beacon Health Options’ Board of Directors and as a board member for Addiction Campuses, a substance use disorder residential treatment facility company, based in Nashville, TN.

Tim received his bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College (for which he also served as chair of the board of trustees) and his master’s degree in Public Policy from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
